Eight Months Old- Who Needs Sleep?

Photobucket
With teething recently (and we have two new teeth and I *think* 3 more are coming), Corbin had been waking up once at 10 pm or 12 am & then sleeping the rest of the night. I am not sure why, but that was the pattern he had fallen into ever since we went to the lake. But last night was a crazy night. I haven't been this sleep deprived since he was a newborn! He slept from 8:30 pm until 11 pm (oh wait, he woke once during that time but easily returned to sleep), and then he would NOT sleep until 4:30 AM! Usually I can buy myself time by cosleeping with him, but he was too wiggly and annoyed! When you aren't used to it, it is really hard. I have no idea what got into him, but he just wants to work on crawling, which he hasn't really done yet. He was really, really determined to figure it out tlast- doing the whole rocking/knees thing. What a stubborn little cuss.

He turned 8 months old yesterday! So we are okay to start a whole new plethera of foods. I am making some baby food today, and I will soon introduce him to foods like: wheat (toast probably), egg yolks, meats, yogurt... He really wants to feed himself at this point. I gave him some little puffs today, and he did pretty well with them. He's been doing Mum Mum's for 6 weeks or so without any problems. Yesterday, I gave him the mesh feeder for the second time, and he did better with it. I cut up some banana and avocado for him in little chunks, but he didn't go for it unless it was in the feeder. I'll talk more about the food thing, probably tomorrow.
